The Egyptian Embassy in Kuwait received the cover of the wooden arch that was smuggled into Kuwait on 1 March.

Officials at the Egyptian embassy have completed the process of sending the coffin cover to Cairo, in anticipation of its handover to the Department of Antiquities recovered by the Egyptian Ministry of Antiquities, according to the story read by Marwan Kadri and Zahra Rami on FM stars through the program "Live Sabah".


For his part, Egypt's ambassador to Kuwait, Tariq al-Qouni, thanked the Kuwaiti authorities for their full cooperation in restoring the coffin cover in Egypt, represented by the Kuwaiti Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Department of Foreign Affairs, antiques and museums of the National Council of Culture, Arts and Letters and the General Administration of Customs.


The General Administration of Kuwait Customs and the authorities of Kuwait International Airport managed to control the coverage of an old wooden coffin contained in air cargo from Egypt. The Embassy of Egypt in Kuwait immediately contacted Kuwaiti customs officials and sent a note to the Kuwaiti authorities, represented by the National Council for Culture Arts and Literature to determine the identity of the artifact and determine whether it was pharaonic or not.

Sultan Al-Daweesh, director of the Department of Antiquities and Museums of the National Council of Culture, Arts and Letters, sued the Egyptian Embassy and announced the creation of a tripartite inspection committee antiques.
